Hi there, thanks for checking out my blog! I have spent most of my adult life blogging and involved in social media, but this is my official blog page! I am a graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American and love all things public relations, social media and pop culture. This blog has evolved to adapt to my interests but you’ll find lots about my lifestyle, my recent wedding, recipes and life in South Texas with my husband, Chris.
I am a die hard foodie and former politico. You may know me from my days as the Senior Vice Chairman of the Young Conservatives of Texas. I stay involved as much as I can and very strongly believe in informing and engaging voters, especially young ones, to get out and vote!
I am currently the Marketing Specialist for the San Antonio Economic Development Department, but again this blog reflects my OWN personal views, not those of the City of San Antonio or my department.. I’m a native of McAllen and loved working at the City of McAllen’s Public Information Office, where I maintained the arts and entertainment website ExploreMcAllen.com. I was even awarded the 2011 Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers Awards for Best Website, www.McAllen.net, and Best Use of Social Media for www.ExploreMcAllen.com.
I love Michael and Janet Jackson and was lucky enough to meet Janet Jackson in 2011! I also just married my best friend and love of my life, Chris Welch on December 8, 2012.
