Via the Pan American: On September 15, 2001 the Queen Isabella Causeway connecting Port Isabel to South Padre Island collapsed after being hit by 4 barges. As a result 8 people lost their lives just as the nation was trying to make sense of the 9/11 collapse of the Twin Towers in NYC.

Ten years later, Veronique Medrano, a UTPA student and Multimedia/Online

Co-Editor at The Pan American, brings forth the following documentary telling the story.
