Top 5 Christmas Albums to Check Out This Year

There is something about Christmas music that makes me so happy.  I don't know if it's the cheesy jingle bells or the warm fuzzy feeling it brings me that makes me want to grab a cup of hot cocoa and curl up next to the fireplace...well, considering it was 80 degrees out today maybe just curl up next to the Christmas tree. At any rate, here are my top 5 Christmas albums to give a listen to this year:

1. Merry Christmas - Mariah Carey

Seriously I don't know how you expected a Christmas list without this one.  The most popular hit from the album is "All I Want for Christmas is You" which became an instant classic and was recently destroyed by the Bieber...don't succumb to the remakes!  Check out Ms. Carey's album if only for her rendition of "O Holy Night"...her powerful voice and the great arrangement of the Holiday classic gives me goosebumps.

2. White Christmas - Bing Crosby

No remake of the song has quite the same magic as this version by Bing Crosby.  His voice brings a special touch to all the Christmas classics we grew up with.  Add this album to your playlist and enjoy some time with your family.

3. The Jackson 5 Christmas Album - The Jackson 5

If you thought a music list of mine was complete without a Jackson...well you obviously don't know me very well.  Little Michael's adorable yet powerful vocals make you feel like a kid again.  And the Jackson 5 twist is great, especially when you hear what each little Jackson wants for Christmas.

4. A Christmas Album - Bright Eyes

This album is pretty depressing, I'm not gonna lie, but it's Bright Eyes...and it's me, so here's a little alternative to the cheery happy go lucky Christmas songs you're used to hearing.

5. A Jolly Christmas - Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra's voice is absolutely magical on his rendition of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas".  This album is another great one for hanging out with family and enjoying some eggnog with your family.
