Healthy Super Bowl Party Tips

For some of us, food is the best part of any super bowl party! Here are some tips on keeping your waistline in check when you hit up a super bowl party.

1. Eat a small nutritious meal before the game. It'll be harder to hit up the high calorie foods if you've already eaten before the party.

2. Check out all the selections available at the party, do you really need to hit the queso dip with tortilla chips? Maybe some fresh veggies can satisfy that crunchy craving. Liven up the veggie tray with a dollup of hummus!

3. Try out some turkey burgers or grilled chicken strips instead of heavier meats and fried favorites. And go easy on the cheese.

4. Drink water! Many of us waste our calories by drinking them away in sugary sodas and an ice cold beer. It's okay to have a couple of drinks but balance it out with water. And please have a designated driver.
