A Little Bit of Luxury in San Antonio
After the Rangers game and some disappointing Alamodome nachos to snack on, we were off to find some grub and ended up stumbling upon a spot all four of us had never been to, The Luxury, just near the Pearl Brewery area and off the extension of the Riverwalk. It seemed like a nice outdoor spot for some cold brews and good eats so we stopped in and were definitely not disappointed. The place was simple, rustic and all in the open air for a beautiful Saturday evening.
I ordered the crispy fish sandwich. Our cashier told us everything was made from scratch so it might be about a 20 minute wait, to some people a wait is a bad thing, for foodies, we didn't mind. Freshness is important and we LOVE places that make things from scratch.
It was worth the wait:
My egg yolk was a little more cooked than I like (I like the runny, pick up a sandwich and commit to it), and it was definitely messy but it was tasty. The sandwich was topped with mint, dill, jalapeño slices, cilantro, shaved carrots and greens, which made for big flavor in every bite.
I would definitely come back and look forward to once we move over to Southtown.
