The Newly Transformed Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center

What I have always loved the most about working in the public sector is the impact that projects have on communities.  I've worked on some pretty amazing projects during my time with the City of McAllen, such as the transformation of an old Walmart into an internationally acclaimed public library, to working on the groundbreaking and grand opening of the Downtown Parking Garage, which served as a catalyst to downtown's transformation.  The thing about downtowns is that they are the iconic images people see, especially for a city like San Antonio.  So, it was with great joy that I was able to be part of the communications team for the unveiling of the newly transformed Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, the City of San Antonio's largest capital project, coming in on time and on budget at $325 million. Mayor and Council toast
